Gibson Basses / Let the healing begin, '67 Thunderbird

The last thing I need to be doing is screwing around with basses, I should be packing. I's been driving me nuts I don't have studs to mount the damn bridge ! I had Roy on the phone from RS last Thurs and I forgot to order some Tonepro studs. Sooooooooooooooooooooo I improvised. I took two round head woods screws with a head dia. that fit the bridge channel cut them to the right length. Next I wraped the thread end in masking tape so the were snug in the stud insert and gently screwed them in, presto stop gap bridge studs ! Hardware first then paint !

I hear ya after 15 years of blood sweat and tears restoring our 1840 farm house we are leaving for a better school district. I am a pack rat a neat one but a pack rat none the less I can't believe all the crap I have collected. Had a $5 box sale while I cleaned out the barn yesterday, just get this stuff out of my site. We are almost done packing up our house has turned into a maze of boxes. We take early posession on 7-12 and close on the 18. I'm doing the move mostly myself with friends pitching in. Movers get the appliances and heavy tools bedding etc. I never planned on leaving this house so I dragged stuff home accordingly. I'm psyched though, the new house is another old farm house and it's on a quiet street ! Nice deep dry basement and a big carriage house for all my.............................. stuff  :o

Great looking bass but the thing that kills it for me is there is no pickup in the sweet spot  >:(

Nikki almost looks healthy in that pic. I have always wanted a Spector but I hate the curved stock body shape, I'd love a Tbird one ! Yeah the 2+2 don't look right but I'd hit it ;)

Yes ! A small one, I have a room all picked out ! Note moving boxes and packing tape in the back ground. We take early posession on the 12 and close on the 18. It's coming fast, I spent today cleaning out the barn, man where did all this stuff come from ?  :o

Gibson Basses / White Epi EB3
« on: July 03, 2008, 01:58:13 PM »
I just got Rocknraydukes white Epi EB3 I love this bass ! I had a cherry one when they first came out, I put a 60's mudbucker in it and it sounded fantastic, I'll do the same with this. To be honest this is one of my favorite versions of the EB3. The thicker 70's body but more sculpted like a 60's, long scale neck with a much better profile than the 70's EB3s and the fingerboard is nice and low on the body. For the $ ihmo this is a great value in the EB3 world. Pics to come. Ok heres a lousy one
