Sounds great Scott! I've always come back to a TS-based overdrive. I used an Ibanez Super Tube for years, then a Voodoo Lab Sparkle Drive, which is like a TS with an added clean blend knob. My favorite is a no longer made pedal from HBE called the Hematoma. It doesn't have a blend knob, but there's "X" amount of clean tone automatically blended in, which I like better than a variable knob where I'm always second guessing myself. It also has an independent simple clean boost function.
