I don't see any major problems in refinning that 'bird. Most if not all of it can be feathered, filled with spot putty or worst case scenario, bondo. Quicker and better results than stripping IMO. Dents where wood hasn't been gouged out can be steamed with very hot clothes iron and wet washcloth.
