That Fish out of Water new Ric is lovely! And when he's on stage, that green CS thing is actually his best sounding bass. Not that the others sound bad, but the green thing has huge authority. With that he's even louder and more  prominent than he is with his other basses and that is saying something as if you are very close to the stage at a Yes show, then his bass is about 50% of the sound emitted from the stage. We're talking Ted Nugent volume ratio to rest of band here!  :mrgreen: :mrgreen: :mrgreen: :mrgreen:

squire struck as very much a non gear geek. i have noticed the same things with other big time players over the years. how refreshing in our new info packed, everyone knows everything world. he also has brilliant,  note placement like macca. in mho of course.

Jim and his son John Mouradian, the guys that made the green cs, run their shop not far from me in Winchester MA. They have a sterling reputation as some of the best luthiers, builders, repairmen anywhere. Totally not corporate sell outs and could probably make bank from churning out high volume but prefer to have complete control over their product. I'd love to check em out but it seems a little like trying to book an appointment with the pope around here.

The Squire and Howe interviews were a lot of fun to watch. It's really cool that both of them are still playing instruments and some gear they used in the '60s and '70s.

Did he say that "A Venture" was played on his modded white Telecaster bass? The sound is quite alike with "The South Side Of The Sky", another rumoured Telecaster track. The same bass was used on "Lucky 7", "Sweet Dreams" and "A Time And A Word".

I was surprised to hear him say that, but that was a LONG time and MANY MANY cocktails ago!  ;) I always thought I heard him switch from soloed toaster to both pups right about the 2:12 mark. I think I would bet money that track was the Ric.
