Nice!

We used to play at JM tribute gigs too. And I would definitely do it again: I love this music!

I would buy a single-pickup Victory reissue in a heartbeat. If only they've made its weight lighter...

However, I'm still looking for an original single-pickup "confederacy" model...

I don't care for a fake-worn look as long as it sounds good. I'm currently building an Esquire using MIM RW tele body. Gonna see hot it will turn out...

I may really consider getting one somewhere in the future. Although my current DC totally covers all my needs in this field. The main question now is their actual weight...

+1 to Fralins.
I had the same situation: DiMarzio installed into my 1974 precision. And I wanted the bass to sound like my friend's all-stock 1976. I went for fralins and frankly I'm more than pleased with the results.

A Gibson Custom Shop Acoustic Bass in Super 400 shape, fretless, medium scale and with a passive piezo. Built in 1999 by then Gibson master luthier Phil Jones. Spruce top, EXTREMELY resonant, no sustain block, feedbacks immediately at higher volumes (not good for unplugged sessions with drummers), but sounds like a dream in the studio. A one off model possibly for a NAMM show. A magnetic pup model in L5 shape was also built around that time, but I've never seen pics of it (Phil has confirmed to me though that he built it, but has no clue of the whereabouts).

Thanks! It's incredible!

I wonder how it plays and sounds
