Too many obits coming too close together these days. We're losing a lot of the guys who defined musical styles.

Christ, I don't care to think of how many times I saw him... first time I saw Whitesnake, pre Lord and Paice, he was the support... saw him a stack of times with Gillan, and in his own right...

Darn, that is young. I only read an interview with him recently where he said he wanted to do a good bye tour and then stop touring.

First time I saw him was on German TV in the late 70ies, his Adam Ant look flabbergasted me:



And it is true that he gelled punk and hard rock attitudes like no other. Like Steve Jones, Jimi Hendrix and Rory Gallagher (Tormé was even Irish) throwing their DNA together.

Hopefully, there will be some laughing for him after all.
