As an occasional heretic within this esteemed group, I have no problem with either of the solutions shown by Uwe. I prefer the device bolted across the neck plate because it's less visible and seems stronger to me. I can't avoid the suspicion that one good yank against that extended strap button would either bend it or pull it out of the wood. But I find either to be a reasonable and logical way to combat neck dive, which I personally dislike. There are so many modifications made to basses which I find much more esthetically disturbing and less practical that I am not moved to criticize either one. I'd use the device-across-the-neck-plate solution if needed. I like solutions which are removable and leave no permanent marks.
