Best deal on Sadowsky Flats?
« on: November 28, 2010, 06:47:24 PM »
Hi guys, I have heard nothing but good things about these strings, and I really want to give them a go, I have currently been using Roto flats over the past few years and my skin chemistry does not seem to agree with the alloy, I dont know what it is, I wipe them down with alcohol, etc and they STINK after about 20 hours of play on them..

Anyone know where I can get a decent deal on the Sadowskys?

Bass Emporium and My Music Stuff sell Sadowsky flats for less than ordering direct from Sadowsky. Very few places carry them.

I've never tried them. I do know that they're made for Sadowsky by LaBella, but they're not just relabeled LaBellas.

Rotos have a Monel outer wrap (it's a nickel/copper alloy). Most other flatwounds (including Sadowsky) have stainless steel outer wraps. If you're reacting to the Monel, any stainless flat will probably benefit you.
