Mark,

I don't know what I would want more... an M1 rifle or a T-bird.

Since I have numerous rifles and no T-birds the choice should be obvious.

Did the deed early this morning.

We normally get together Tuesdays for band practice, but tonight one of the guitar players wants to stay home and watch the election unfold.

Hell man, I'm ready to rock and you want to bag practice so you can watch another couple hours of TV  >:(

What say ye... will we know anything tonight?

I think we have the same damn bass...

Mine is a honey color, no sunburst and it also has a TCT Bartolini preamp.

Weighs a ton sounds like a million bucks

The new bass kicks ass and sounds HUGE! The SVT is partially to blame

We wanted to try something that would unify the look of the band. We decided a few weeks ago to give the flight suits a try.

The name of the band is Hawk Attack so, in my mind, the whole military aviation theme makes sense. I didn't know y'all were even around, much less into Gibsons and military planes until just the other day... Serendipity.

Say,  anyone s interested  a HAWK ATTACK 6song demo shoot me an email and I'll snail mail you a copy.

Rawk out wit cho hawk out!

Of course, this would be way more bad ass if I could figure out how to get the pictures to just appear.

I'll keep trying.

I think I'm close...

Bill's Shop: Projects, Mods & Repairs / Re: Got a NOS Mosrite bass body

When I was at Roberto-Venn that was the style truss rod we used, they called it a double expanding rod. As I recall the theory was you could flip the rod to adjust for not enough back bow. Since the late 80s I have yet to see a guitar with that problem but I guess it could happen.

For those of you that are into the potential collectors value of various guitar parts... we also had a bunch of Mosrite bodies. We used them to practice spraying assorted finishes, essentially ruining them. Please forgive me... at the time no one cared about old Mosrite bodies.

I look forward to seeing some pictures of this cool sounding bass project.

Pics of the Les Paul bass?

If you can believe it I haven't taken any yet! I'm going to play it this weekend so I'll snap a bunch then.

WWII? My grandfather was on a B-17...

My history degree was tailored to include more 20th century violence than anything else. Later I worked for Soldier Of Fortune magazine... not a lot of WWII vets running around the office then, mostly Vietnam through Desert Storm.

Never did fly a plane but I have blasted, kicked and shot down doors, engaged steal targets with a rifle at up to 700 meters and had a great time doing it all for the sake of bad front line journalism.

Hi everyone,

I have been lurking for a few days...what a great forum.

T-bird 1958 helped me out with a Gibson question on another forum, and recommended this place, thanks for having me.

Just thought I should introduce myself before I go to posting on a bunch of established threads like some kind of FNG!

I am currently play bass with a Colorado rock band called Hawk Attack, if you want to check us out please stop by our myspace page... www.myspace.com/hawkandroll

I also have a page I call the Bass Alliance of Colorado, some of you may already be members... I know T-bird is.

I attended Roberto-Venn in 1989 and I love all the great project pages you have going.

Thanks again for having me... I guess you could say that the doctor is in!
(Man that sounds dorky... ;D )
