Definitely not. No chance I'll ever change my mind, either. No disrespect intended to anyone who likes it.

I love original-music, but the prog of the 80's and 90's hasn't aged well. What has aged well for me is the more roots oriented stuff. Earl Scuggs still rules!

Before this thread, I had never heard of either one of them.  They're pretty darn good.

I love both, but bump into many who haven't heard about them. Today I think 'Red' is among my favourite Fripp recordings (and for Belew's part touring with Talking heads in 1980) but first heard both with Bowie, where they played about the same time. At least most people have heard 'Heroes'.

most people aren't as old as some of us are. imo late sixties to a around 1978 or 79 was the best era for prog type stuff. my big regret was not seeing king crimson in that time period but i think they only came to atlanta once.

I have been lucky enough to have seen them 3 times - in '74 when Wetton was still new, in '83(?) with Belew, and then in '05 on the first date of the Level Five tour.  Great shows each time.

I just checked King Crimson on YouTube...now I recall why they're not familiar to me.  Just not a style of music I like..so I didn't listen to them.

1.  Fripp has always shown an obsession with percussion
2.  It worked for Ginger Baker

These two are absolutely adorable together.

True, très cute. My, the girl has changed a bit, I'm sure her parents approve the new look.

I had no idea that the Frippster and her were an item. In my mind she was still together with Simon Phillips (the Brit drummer session god and current and longstanding Toto member who has drummed with everyone from Judas Priest to Jeff Beck and, of course, his late seventies/early eighties significant other: Ms Wilcox)

Bet she got to know Robert via Simon, there must be a connection there. Goes to show: If you have ever slept with a prog guy, you will never again settle for anything less as a woman!   Non-progsters: eat your non-odd-meter-accessible hearts out!!!  :P
