I see what you mean. They are IMPOSSIBLE in terms of  getting a hold of a real person to speak with. I am going to relist it and watch the wording. Thanks for the advice.

Gibson Basses / 1976 Gibson Thunderbird decal with serial number for sale
« on: October 06, 2008, 10:27:06 AM »
I have a real authentic decal for a bicenntennial bird. It was listed last night and pulled off this morning. It had a starting bid of $125.00 and BIN for $250.00. Anybody know why this was pulled??? It's not a fake.

Do you want to trade the unslotted ones for my slotted ones?

1361
No guarantees but I can't for the life of me think that it would cost $30,000.00 for a tool. What about those breath mints?? Aren't those the same material??? Or close???

Well, I am a Model Maker and can utilize some resources that some of us may not have tried. I know Tony Carl did a KILLER job on his covers, so good that he sold out of them!!! But i just want to give it a shot. If not, I can always have MJ make a new pickup.

Well..I Finally spoke with the guys who refinned my 1965 Thunderbird bass today, who will remain anonymous. Great paint job, and relic, but they insist that the notches were there in the saddles and that it should make no difference. Then the next minute, they were saying that they filed the notches lightly because the string were slipping out. ake up your damn mind!!!! And...I was told  that anybody that is a REAL Thunderbird player ONLY uses Badbird bridges so I guess that I'm not a REAL Thunderbird player. I KNOW that the Badbird bridges are ass kickin' for some of you dudes because there are basic factory tolerances that Gibson used and some were less than others.  I am a purist and personally have NEVER had trouble with a bird being intonated properly. But this is a damn shame. I desparately need a set of 4 unfiled saddles!!! HELP!!!!!
