Well..I Finally spoke with the guys who refinned my 1965 Thunderbird bass today, who will remain anonymous. Great paint job, and relic, but they insist that the notches were there in the saddles and that it should make no difference. Then the next minute, they were saying that they filed the notches lightly because the string were slipping out. ake up your damn mind!!!! And...I was told that anybody that is a REAL Thunderbird player ONLY uses Badbird bridges so I guess that I'm not a REAL Thunderbird player. I KNOW that the Badbird bridges are ass kickin' for some of you dudes because there are basic factory tolerances that Gibson used and some were less than others. I am a purist and personally have NEVER had trouble with a bird being intonated properly. But this is a damn shame. I desparately need a set of 4 unfiled saddles!!! HELP!!!!!
