Just discovered that Jonesy did a Soundtrack for a movie in the 80s called Scream For Help available now on cd:

ZoSo appears on 2 tracks & Jon Anderson of YES is also on 2 tracks, & Jonesy sings a bit himself!

Here's a HEAVY Instrumental cut off it:

It's the 10th year Anniversary of ZOOMA! I found it in a BORDERS in Hawaii in '99.

Angry Angry is a fun track off his Thunderthief cd:

Sounds like Zeppelin with Bobby Plant's vocal histrionics erased! (ducking ...)

Replace Page's sloppy guitar parts and you'd be on to something! (not ducking...)

I LOVE that sloppy guitar & those vocal histrionics!!

This is all about the Bassmon & Keyboardist of Zep & his solo stuff tho.
If ya don't have ZOOMA--Get it! It's one of my fav cds.
Some great Pedal Steel Bass too.  8)

That stuff sounds like the White Stripes doing even more Led Zep than they customarily do.

Sounds more like Josh Homme (Queens of the Stone Age, Kyuss) is driving this one.  I haven't decided if I like it or not yet.  Interesting that Grohl switched from drums to guitar for Foo Fighters, and Homme moonlights as the drummer for Eagles of Death Metal.

I bought the TCB. I like it, not the greatest, but more in the Queens Of The Stoneage vein which not bad in nmy opinion. Bass is not bad but hoped it would be more a force here, with JPJ using more of his  8 strings like his recent solo stuff.

"Robert Planet"! Hahahahaha! That whole section of that album is hilarous!

Not sure how much I like TCV yet either but I'm mighty glad to see Jonesy soldiering on in spite of "Planet" not wanting to tour with Zep.
He seems to be havin' FUN!
The song titles seem awfully negative to me.
Some friends went to see 'em & said JPJ is amazing & Grohl is ROCKIN' the HELL outa the DRUMS!!
They did no Zep at all in their setlist tho, which seems strange.
Wonder if they're doing anything from Jones' solo discs. Angry Angry is sorta TCV style.

Uwe~ the main similarity I see to The White Stripes is the red, white & black format.
