Looks like you could play the root and nothing but the root on it.....
I don't like it at all.
I like the RD re issue far better.
FWIW I like honest wear and tear.

I like it on the face of it.
Is that supposed to be a facsimile of this one, but with a different everything?

Even German audiences can impossibly clap as out of beat as this one. There must be something wrong with the soundtrack of the vid.

There are some new pictures here: http://www.fendercustomshop.com/index.php/news/article/dusty_hill/

I can't help myself - I like it! Especially the pictures of him playing it.

Frankly, the whole thing looks like a gimmick to me.

I shake my head over the thought that people would pay a couple thousand dollars for a gimmick like that.

I guess it depends a bit.

- I bought a Jack Casady once (and sold it again), when I was playing bass for a short time, but I had to look up who Jack was:)

- I bought the Billy-Bo, because of the shape. I love Billy Gibbons, I love Bo Diddley. Both don't play bass, and still they have a sig sound.

- I bought my Thunderbird because of Entwistle, but of course that was no sig.

- I'm always GASsing on a lot of basses and the Mikey Way Mustang is one of them. And I dislike MCR.

- If I had the money to spend I would love to have a Pino sig. Great bass!! And if I played guitar I would buy the G-Love Gretsch immediately.

- The Manchester Blue Noel Gallagher (so not the Union Jack) was quite a seller, because it had better pickups than most other Epi's. Most people cleaned the signature on the pickguard of that guitar:)

So a lot of very different reasons for buying or not buying sig guitars and basses.

I would LOVE to have a Billy-Bo, not because of anyone in particular having played it, but because to me it's one of the most visually impressive and cool basses I've ever seen.

But, at least at this point, it's more money than I'm willing to spend on a bass.    That makes it easier to resist.

I will NOT be posting pix of my shop, tools and slovenly work habits! ;D

I looked in the shed today... my head is still hanging with shame...

Relic'd instruments are just so not me... I do like that bass but I'd so want to re-do the fin... ;D
