Modern Player Basses
« on: September 19, 2011, 08:41:53 AM »
Fender will bring out some new cheap models. Under 500 euros. One's a Tele Bass with a chrome humbucker at the neck... And at the bridge! Last one with black pick up ring. I'll post a pic asap.

They also bring out a Jazz with two DOUBLE Jazz pick ups.

Guitarwise in this series they have a Marauder, some Jaguars and some Teles.

Edit: There's also a block inlay Jaguar bass with a P pickup at the middle position and a second pick up at the bridge. Can't see what kinda pick up on on the picture. Black pickup on black bass...

It's about time they got on the ball, we just don't have enough Fender variations.  :P

My G.A.S. is now in the warmup phase....looks pretty good to me.

And it wouldn't be just a minor variation on my '63 P.

as a rapidly evolving former fender fan i find this sad. aamof my wife insists on buying me a bass because she knows i love to hang to old stuff and tweak it to death.. i went to sitar center and played a bunch of fenders. not one imho was worth buying. everything about these basses that i loved my entire life suddenly felt wrong. still not a gibson fan but...

A tone pot ?  ;D  Completely useless with those HB's ........ I had my Squier VM Precision TB modded with an extra HB as a salute to Kenny Gradney years ago .......
