Looks good like that H but the controls have always been the issue when doing that on a P...

John Wetton had just a small part of the pickguard left for the knobs and jack. I think the chick in the Go Gos had the same setup.



Michael Anthony also had one like that in the late 70's. I think it was a somewhat popular mod at the time because I remember seeing it a bit. Bad photo but you get the idea...

was a late 70's thing.  I remember seeing it on midnight special and thining it was cool.   did it to a shecter parts bass i had  but the srew holes always bothered me.  For a while somebody sold a modified p bass pickguard like that.

I think allparts have the short contol plate only for P bass, the ´banana´.

My heavily modded ´75 P´s pickguard got smaller and smaller, it ended up like Wetton´s and broke.
I ordered the banana when I got too old to have a ´punky´ bass.
