Pickup placement formula - Ping Dave!

Hey Dave, I know we had this discussion years ago, but I can't find my notes on the formula for determining pup placement based on scale length.  Do you have that handy or a reference?

I hadn't seen the article on BuildYourGuitar, it's a good one. The article is just a few months old and I've never heard of Leonardo Lospennato but his book sounds interesting and I see he's built a "David St. Hubbins - Big Bottom Bass."
