Headstock logo/decal
« on: July 09, 2009, 09:22:50 AM »
Hi guys, I'm working on a headstock logo, what do you think of my first draft?

I'm fixin' a hole where the rain gets in..........cuz I'm built for a kilt!

Thanks Dave.  I've been thinking about it for a few months and thought it might be fun to develop.

Looks good to me Doc!!

Thanks!  I have a graphic designer acquaintance in another forum working on a more professional looking version.  I'll post it when finished.

when you're ready to work on my rivoli's neck, you can replace the epi logo with a Dr B!   ;)

doc, I know you've said many times you're not ready to take on outside work, but I am a patient man (depending on circumstances!) and will be ready when you decide to hang a shingle and open your doors to the general bass public.

Hi Doc,

I would look at the point where the Bas key meets the Capital letter B.
I would want to avoid those two touching each other.
If you deliberately want to make the two meet, you might consider making the overlap a bit bigger.

Plus I think the typefont is a bit too generic.

cheers,
Rob

Good points, I'll take them into consideration.  The font is up for discussion, although I do rather like it anyway.

Hey, very cool!  We'll have to see what the graphics guy comes up with too.  I like a couple of the ones you did too.

That one is the best yet. I would lighten up the bass clef to a grey or silver to let the text stand out a bit more.

We'll see, I don't have the original graphics form this one and the fellow who did it for me hasn't responded yet.
