Day 3, no takers.

The mysterious ways of Gibson.
Why couldn't they just chose the obvious pattern for the four knobs? It's not like they never did that before...

It has just accured to me that the knob layout is not very different from an EDS-1275.

Another hodgepodge creation of the Mod Shop.
The back of the headstock looks rather sloppy, no?

Oh, there is that rather talkative young man again, lovely. He really should have become a radio host. The station would have done very, very well with all those commercial breaks for headache pills. "Twice the strength of Advil ... (or was it Tylenol?)" alright.

Amen. And it's easy to bash him, which is done all over this thread already. I posted the vid because I wanted to show the bass.

Apparently a ton of people have been buying various Bass VIs and baritones.

You’d think they’d have some Epi six string basses out by now.

I have nothing against Herr Trolly or whatever his name is, he just - our European readers will readily understand - reminds me of Troubadix, the Gallic bard of the Asterix & Obelix comic series, who always felt compelled to share his talent with an unsuspecting world ...

but even as a much loved member of the village community was occasionally in need of some light restraint.

https://www.gibson.com/en-US/Electric-Bass/MOD-RAM019394/Satin-Ebony-Fox

NR in "Satin Ebony Fox" (kind of like the Silver Fox finish Epi used on Coronets), ambered pearl guard, old script logo, amber knobs, TBird bridge and tailpiece. $2,299 seems like a good deal, right?

Best looking NR I've seen.

Alternative history in the making: No actual 60ies TBird ever had that logo. Total mismatch to the modern tuners.

Those amber knobs must appeal to anybody though.

That's why they call it the mod collection.

But I do get your discomfort. I feel the same about Fender J's with spaghetti logos. There's just one NR to irritate you and zillions of wrong J's to freak me out.
