There have been quite a few cheap doublenecks on eBay in the past couple of years, very few of them look playable. Wonder if they are all from the same factory.

If this is true, they could very well be the the largest producer of rare instruments anywhere ;) Kind of an oxymoronic claim to fame ;D

IIRC the brand name (at least for a while) was Tennessee. They even had some 5-neck monstrosities. Not sure if it was all the same eBay seller as the current ones.

When I was a kid in the mid 60s, the local music store had a Mosrite double neck hanging in a glass display case with a hefty price tag of $400 on it.  It hung there for what seemed like forever. It's probably worth a small fortune now , but to me, It's still a piece of crap ???.
The Gibson SG double neck (forget the actual name) is a different story. They sounded great. Still, I am one who is incapable of navigating something with two necks . I'm sure I could really manage to do nothing but embarass myself with five :-[.

Rick, you're no Rick Neilsen.  ;D

They were patterned after his Hamer 5-necks.

When I was a kid I was always impressed by Larry Collins (of the Collins Kids) playing with Joe Maphis.

Although I was much more interested in looking at Lorrie.

Larry can still bring it.
