Gig pics from my Stones tribute band
« on: February 07, 2010, 05:01:07 PM »
Here's some photos from my Rolling Stoned gig last Friday night.  The two of us with corporate day jobs wear wigs for this band LOL

Apologies for picture quality, was a friend who was too scared to come any closer, so she used zoom.

Cheers

Nice, but why is Ian Gillan playing rhythm...?  ;D

 Nice Mark!

I see I'm not the only one around here wearing wigs to a show  ;)

We just located some video of our very first gig, back in November.  This is actually our opening number that night - we played the Get Yer Ya Ya's Out album from start to finish.  "Mick" had a few wardrobe malfunctions LOL

That sounds great. "Keefs" guitar tone is very good, in fact the whole band is very good. Mark is that your natural stance or did you go out of your way to position your bass in the "Bill Wyman" style?

Thanks for the compliments - we are trying to sound like the real thing as well as look the part.  A lot of tribute bands down here focus on one half to the detriment of the other - we're trying to be better than them.

And no, that's just me trying to play like Wyman.  I normally wear my basses a lot lower, like this, for example ....

Well done, not just the song but the style and feel (and the look, of course).
