From GGJaguar's site:
The Lynx Bass replaced the first style SB-2 Bass in 1984. It was basically the same guitar as the early SB-2, but had a rosewood fingerboard and either an ash, maple or poplar body with back contour. Tonally, the Lynx is a bit midrangey, but the MFD pickups pack a punch. The Lynx never enjoyed the sales success of the second style SB-series basses and was dropped from the catalog at the end of 1991 when BBE assumed management of G&L.
