Obviously two and a half years wasn't enough.

You're right, they definitely did not expect the response they got.

I find the whole saga very entertaining. When this project started, I was sceptical to say the least. When it transpired that it would actually go somewhere (and not some Nashville lightning strike it dead early on ...), I still didn't not expect the end result/bass to amount to much in quality, my expectations were along the lines of a Czech Wishbass ...  :-[ Now I've been proven wrong and I'm enjoying it thoroughly!

Yes, this is probably just a two man boutique that did not know what it got itself into, but they are fumbling along admirably and getting there in the end. One day, when B&CH Bass will be a sizeable successful company (with a certain Mr van den Broek their thrifty Dutch CFO ...), we'll all be stroking our grey beards and saying: "We knew B&CH when they were this small ..., but even those early basses were already great quality ...".

Transfer sent.  In the two or so hours it took me to get to the bank, the dollar had dropped enough that my price went up about $6.  And the invoice was from B & Ch Music.

You know, I think Rob is on to something with the two person B & CH operation.
That would explain everything.

Probably there are two persons owning the company but I'm sure there's a staff working on those instruments. Considering the product range they have I don't think they really could pull that off. They seem to sell quite a few basses and guitars to Sweden from what I've seen on different forums. Our drummer ordered a Firebird copy 6 months ago and the wait would'nt have been a long wait if it was'nt for the fact that the Swedish distributor did'nt like the neck design they changed to (too far off from original specs). They seem to be like that Bach. They go their own way sometimes and suddenly with the design and construction. This week he got mail from the distributor and he got a new shipment. No white ones though which our drummer ordered. I think he'll settle for a sunburst. Also they suddenly put the tuners on the top end of the headstock and not reverse like it should be, haha.

Three weeks ago Roman sent an email, asking if I'd got the proforma invoice. Well, I hadn't. Then not a word. This morning I sent him a mail, asking if there was anything wrong? An hour ago I got the invoice! Now these two Birds are paid for, and maybe I'll have them late next week?
There's just one thing to say: Wow! Or, maybe, two: Wowie Zowie!

Looks like we're getting some momentum going!  Also, in looking over my invoice, it looks like I'm getting a white one.

Comparing notes on shipping and communication times has been interesting. It seems a bit random, but so long as the basses finally arrive at their intended destination we're good, right? I sent my wire on the 7th. Haven't heard anything since but I figure I'll have a nice knock at the door some time soon. Of course I'll update when that happens...

I made the transfer on the 9th and have sent a couple of emails in the last couple of days. No reply.
Did everyone who received their bird also receive a shipping notification from Roman?

Also, I had requested a white bird and that's what was listed on the invoice.
Did those who received their birds have the correct color listed on their invoices?

I made my money transfer on 24 April and received the bass roughly two weeks later on 8 May. And that was within Europe were a wire transfer and shipping takes less time. So you yanks shouldn't be unruly before three to four weeks after your wire transfer.
