Chrome T-bird cover measurements...
« on: November 28, 2012, 05:51:44 AM »
I'm not at home but do these dimensions sound correct for a chrome or nickel cover for a T-bird pickup?
Do they sound correct if I want to jam an Artec from a BacH into a cover this size?
Thanks!

Dimensions are 3 5/8" (91.5mm) x1 1/2"(39mm) x 15/32"(12mm) thick.
Two mounting holes: mounting hole spacing measured center to center is 3 9/32"(83.5mm).

Those are correct dimensions.

You'll have to round the corners of any "35 series" (3.5" x 1.5" nominal) pickup and possibly some other sanding to fit the can but it's no big deal.  Belt sander helps but not imperative.

Denis, I have an Artec that was already shaved down to fit inside a 70's cover. It is yours if you want it.
