I have recovered from my initial disappointment.  :-\

Texas is obviously much better at monkey business in sports than Washington is, and having lived there, I can attest to that on more than one level.   :o

Yup, I read the story.  If the team continues to play as they have, I think the interim coach is well on his way to the full-time job, and outsiders won't need to apply.  I hope that happens.  8)

The combination is kinda intriguing even for those
of us with only a fleeting interest in college football.
Incisive news with not just one, but two exotic slants.
Will he lose his pole position with Washington State now?

First vids of the crime scene have leaked into the internet. The ghoulish brats were throwing stuff at the primate and thus unduly provoked him ...

It may get weirder yet.

From Cougfan.com, which specializes in WSU sports..... (emphasis added...)

Mark Weber, the fired WSU offensive line coach -- the Slim Pickens to Nick Rolovich's Don Knotts in the five-member Covid Dumpling Gang -- apparently is consulting with attorney KrissAnne Hall about his dismissal from the Cougar coaching staff. Hall was one of the leading advocates for Ammon Bundy and the other extremists who seized the Malheur National Wildlife Refuge offices in Burns, Ore., in 2016. Lately she's been coaching people to reject vaccinations and mask mandates. And you thought Pole Assassin and comfort monkey made for strange tales on Planet Coug.

So now we have a connection back to legal antics around the Malheur Wildlife Refuge incident.

And Nick Rolovich has sent WSU a letter appealing his dismissal. This sounds much like the Last Great Act of Defiance:

"A computer lets you make more mistakes faster than any other invention with the possible exceptions of handguns and tequila."

After the Longhorns' loss to Iowa State Saturday, I have to wonder how long any of the coaching staff will be around.

Anyway, I miss The Goodies.

What fascinates me is where Rob Halford went from this (standing on the right, with his fellow "Goodies"; Tim Brooke Taylor WAS just an alias, after all) to Judas Priest...
