I dont know why they have not done it before (not run flat tires)

For use in snow and mud, they'll need to solve both wheel balance and the throwing off of debris at highway speeds.  Imagine a blender running with the lid off.   :-\

This is a three year old clip. Why haven't we heard more? I suspect because it's a long way from becoming practical.
