No money lost. No deposits were made. They did a run of white ones that seem to have made it to some European buyers (nothing but good reviews as well). Supposedly there will be another run ready soon. If Bach can figure out how to ship them to the States, we Yanks may get lucky and get some.

In the email I got from Roman, he indicated that the reason they shipped to Europe first was because it was easiest. Shipping here to the USA involves customs, and he said they're working on that.

A Belgian guy who is a frequent poster on a Dutch bass forum got a rather cryptic email about the BaCHbird from BaCH today:
We are almost ready to send You one pcs of TH-1 .
But I have to be open to You . I am worry a little bit because that time
We were working on the project with Rob I got as a thickness of body size 32mm .
We made them with the size.
The basses are lighter and well-balanced.
Send me pls Your comment .

Is he trying to say that he made them thinner than that? It's cryptic, all right.

I
think
he is trying to say the new series is thinner. And thus lighter.
Which would result in more neck dive
Which is perhaps why he emphasizes on the bass being "well-balanced"??

I think he's just referring to general Czech thickness!

Rob- how thick are the basses that you, Chris, etc.. received? 31.75mm?
Maybe these new ones are 'wafer thin'

Yeah, seems like you're right, that Czech model is gonna be neck heavy although handling might still be good.
Can't someone photoshop a Bachbird into this young lass' hands so we can help Bach with the promotion a little? The bass worth waiting for.
