I've never heard of the Marko bridge. I don't necessarily like sustain blocks, all depends on the bass, but on a solidbody Guild it ought to be a help.

My bridge is a Marko (made by a fellow named Marko in Sweden if I recall) but I didn't want the sustain block.  My old Guild body is chambered and should be fine without one.
I'm fixin' a hole where the rain gets in..........cuz I'm built for a kilt!

Thanks!  Do me a favor.  Post your scale measurement and where your bridge is mounted.  Maybe the distance from the nut to the top edge of the bridge?

I'm taking these measurements from the inside edge of the nut.  In other words, the edge closest to the fingerboard.

Measuring nut-to-12th fret, distance is 15 3/8".  Double that for a scale of 30 3/4"

From nut to the highest-point of the top edge of the harp bridge, the distance is 30 1/16".  Distance to the inside of the bridge's tailpiece, where the strings anchor, is 33 3/16"

Just for kicks, measurements from nut to center of each saddle on my bass are as follows:
E - 31 1/4"
A - 31 1/8"
D - 31 "
G - 31 "

I'm noticing that your scale is different.  Not sure how helpful these numbers are as a result, but Let me know if you need any other measurements...

Thanks Joe, that's great!  My scale is just off by 1/2", so I should be able to figure out the difference.  The saddle grooves have a lot of room for travel, so I should be fine.  Thanks again for taking your time to do this for me.
