Parting out Coronado
« on: June 04, 2009, 06:26:04 AM »
Hi Guys!  I need to reduce my stock of stuff (need some cash for tools in the shop!!!) and I've decided to part out the Coronado I pieced together last year.  It's all original bass parts but the body is actually a Coronado body (they're exactly the same as a bass body).  The wiring harness is totally original as are the pups.  Both are in excellent condition.  The neck's refined.

If you're interested in any parts, let me know.  Otherwise, I'll toss it up on eBay tomorrow night.

Thanks!

I'm fixin' a hole where the rain gets in..........cuz I'm built for a kilt!

Is it worth more that way than as a functioning bass?  (Just curious...)

Yes it is Al.  The parts alone are unusual and since the bass is made up of parts from all over, even though they are original Fender, the bass is still a parts bass.  So, it's not worth nearly as much as an old, all originally unmolested Coronado bass.  It plays and sounds just as good, but it's not the same to buyers.
