New Gibson Basses!
« on: January 27, 2011, 10:24:54 AM »
There is going to be a early style EB0 (called the EB 11?) in Pellham blue and chrome, I ordered one it is beautiful ! A new V bass, Explorer with 80's graphics, and a short scale Thunderbird (dumb idea imho but who knows it might sell). Also a New LP with a gold top. Bitch'n ! I saw Pics at the HOG today (House of Guitars)

That is gonna be one expensive year 2011, ouch!

Wow. Psyched!

I actually like the idea of a short scale Thunderbird.
I've been contemplating on building one myself.

Is the EB11 a  Les Paul double cut shaped body? That would be very cool.

That LP Jr shaped EB0 is very sexy.

Wonder of Gibson has a new board.
Finally some new stuff that makes sense.

Fairly close repro, pick guard is a little off (so's mine) and headstock is slightly off with no mop.  Knobs are wrong.  They should have changed the original banjos, which are a PITA and left off the handrest which was never on the originals...unless it's covering a minibucker ;)

I'm pretty amazed they chose this bass to RI.  I don't know if it makes mine more valuable or less.

Will these actually see production, or will they go the way of Uwe's long-overdue Continental V?

The EB-11 should sell at that list price.
