Gibson neck pickup cover. Again!
« on: April 16, 2013, 01:23:35 PM »
So today I talked to someone, working at a metal workshop, if he could make me some neck pickup covers like the one I showed him. Which is a chrome cover from a Thunderbird. Just like this: http://oliviasvintageguitars.com/bass/guitars/1956/
Yes, he could, the guy said. But they would be in stainless steel. The price would be, like $150 for four covers. Now, what are you guys ideas concerning the material? Or is there anyone out there who's got any ideas where to get new covers?

Steve at Thunderbuckerranch.com makes these, they're solid nickel silver.  He made exact vintage copies from a set of mine.  Also does them to fit later TBirds and various Epis which have different width center sections.  Email him for pricing.  BTW Stjofon, your guy might be able to get nickel silver.
