Hear no evil, see no evil, speak no evil. That auction never even existed.

In the absence of Jack, his brother David will sing a song for us.

He died in his sleep. Causes at this point unknown. I'd be really surprised if drugs were behind it with this guy.

They are not Prince, that is for sure, even if they swiped some of his visuals I thought. Prince can be glamorous, OTT and still have substance in music. And throw one hell of a shadow all the while.

I'm no Black Eyed Peas hater, but this was both overdone and lame. And I've heard Fergie sing better than yesterday, but it might have been nerves and bad stage sound, other bands have had issues with that too.

That's the song I thought of.

Ironically, he wanted to move away from blues into celtic rock and even record with The Chieftains lately.

On most other stuff he did, the issue was that he was trying just too darn hard, squeezing every drop of emotion (he undoubtely had if you ever saw him play live) into every note. But his taste in guitars sure got better over time:

Is Fergie a little pregnant?

It was in the German TV news. Never my favorite guitarist or singer, he is certainly a loss. I didn't know he had health issues. In a druggie band like Thin Lizzy, he certainly seemed like a health obsessive. What did he die of?

On his "Irish Album" Wild Frontier was a nice ballad reputedly written for Phil Lynott called "Johnny Boy". They should play that at his funeral.

On the new Ripper II, the pups come courtesy of Seymour Duncan. I'm sure, if you ask them nicely, they'll sell you a pair. They match the sound of the old one, but are more there, single coilish nature and all. I very much liked the sound I got with my Ripper II on our recordings.

Those radio station guys must be deaf. The song structures of Blackmore's Night are sometimes so close to Rainbow that it is almost to the point of aping. Don't let some medieval garb and a woman's voice fool you. Blackers is Blackers whatever he does.
