I looked at the article with the price (http://www.theverge.com/2015/7/16/8976519/marshall-london-android-smartphone), it would be nice to have but not at about US $590!

Mosfet or tube technology? In case of the latter, isn't there an inherent thermal/fertility issue for the targeted male market?  :-\

Wonder how it would sound if you put a mike in front of it and sent it through a PA. Kind of like what Frank Zappa did with his pignose.

I'd be into it but the price is waaaay too high for a low end phone.

I would like to know more about the DI interface I see in 1 pic there.  Seems like an add device, if so it looses a bit of appeal, but the audio playback stuff is cool (dual headphone jacks; global audio settings; shortcut hardware button launches audio player apps).  I also like the removable battery (many phones moving away from this, buit I think it should be a requirement ) and the scroll wheel (a la me beloved first gen Blackberry - though it is not a navigation device like that but merely a vol control).

I am not the sort that believes in "mobile computing."  My phone is mostyu a phone, then email and music player.  If I could get some portable recording out of it that would be ace.

I have to use a Motorola ES400 for work as they use a business package for the work-sheets... just plain nasty... :puke:
