That bass needs passive electronics and a mudbucker on the neck! Good luck man, hope you will get that for cheap!

I played one of the Robelli 8-strings when Sam Ash when they were in stock.  Not a bad bass for the money.  The ebay listing is at about what they cost new, in case you were wondering.

I had one, sold it. Two problems:
Never could get the intonation right on the D pair.
SERIOUS neck-dive. Full-scale neck(with 8 tuners) on a guitar-sized body which is lacking a long upper horn makes for baddddd neck dive.
