A bit quiet around here.

<tumbleweed>

No news or rumours?  Surely we must nearly be in the silly season where 2015 models start poking their headstocks over the precipice.

I crashed my car just over two weeks ago, I'm OK but the car's a write off, so will probably sell a couple of basses in preference to taking out a fat loan.

I played my 2014 EB at band rehearsal tonight, it was great.  They deserve to sell loads, but they won't.

No Ripper news, sorry.  My mate is obsessed with converting a minibus into a camper van at the moment.

Well, I tried.  The first one is definitely "news" at least ;)
Basses: Epi JC Sig 20th Anniversary - Epi Les Paul Standard - Epi Korina Explorer - G&L CLF L-1000 - G&L Tribute LB-100 - Sire D5 - Reverend Triad - Harley Benton HB-50

Too early for the 2015 model announcement.

I'm hoping for a reissue of the Silly Purple Clown Bass

A year and a half ago a Gibson rep told me they were busy with a reissue of the EB-2, which would be made in the same factory as the ES-335 Bass. he said it would be introduced at the beginning of 2014. Could be a new one for summer NAMM or next year?

With the Les Paul recording guitar reissue already a reality, I had my hopes set on a Les Paul Bass / Triumph reissue...

Not to slight the venerable ol' EB-2...  ;D

...but this would be my hope.  (of course, I'm perfectly happy with the one I have  8) )

I looked in the shed the weekend before last...

I spotted the rattlecans in the garage a week before that...

I've been busy trying to finish off this here Indian motorcycle, so nights and weekends have mostly found me in the basement. One thing I have learned about myself is I do not balance hobbies well. Sooner or later I'll swing away from motorcycles back into bass guitars or model kits, or even worse, finding an old car. Then, back to motorcycles, etc.

It's not that far away from a Warwick Vampyre, you know?! And that is a consistent seller, freak design that it was. But then your typical Warwick customer is a bit more design-adventurous than the greying gentlemen in this forum of forums.  :)

I was reading a "what do you hope to see from Gibson in 2015" thread at the mylespaul forum. Holy crap, people sure do hate the min-e-tune. And no love lost for Henry.

There was one post about a bass, a guy wanted a new short scale Les Paul Bass instead of having to buy a 70s version. One can hope.

He'd probably respond that it's an EB.
