Exposer, hmmmmm sounds familiar! Lol My band in Boston was named EXPOSE! We were top of the pile in 1984-1986 courted by record companies,  in national rotation on WBCN, road crew, limos etc then it all went poof! https://youtu.be/E1fP5tLo_oA?si=4uD1LplC1goDD8Nu

Robert Vaughn's performance in this cutting edge sociological comment arthouse cineastic gem is absolutely compelling, he was really born for the role.

And Neanderthalmen did age faster, you know.  ;D

Sax playing is always cool and he was a master in any genre.

The clip of Jo-El Sonnier and Richard Thompson I posted when Jo-El passed was from his Night Music show.

RIP, sir.

Who can forget "teenage" Robert Vaughn and Frank DeKova in Teenage Caveman? A lot of people, apparently.

I know, I know, after a revival in the 80ies, sax playing became all of the sudden uncool again, something best left to lounge music and 80ies porn flick muzak. No matter, I continue to like it, blow your alluring horn up there, David!

https://www.theguardian.com/music/article/2024/may/14/david-sanborn-jazz-saxophonist-dies-aged-78

But how could they not mention Nena? He plays the magnificent sax solo at the end of ‘?’ (the song was indeed called question mark or Fragezeichen in German) although the guy miming is of course not David.

He’s on here as well (no, not the hottie with the jet black pixie cut at 02:04, but he played it!):

Yeah, porn sax alright, but I STILL LIKE IT !!!

This is a pretty great article Albini wrote on the exploitive signing practices of major labels.

And the letter he wrote to Nirvana after being courted to record In Utero. Both are worth a read.
