Title: New from Fender Japan
Post by: Dave W on March 31, 2022, 10:06:41 AM
Fender Japan unveils Japan Junior Collection (https://www.guitarworld.com/news/fender-japan-junior-collection) including a 30" scale Jazz Bass.

Too bad they won't be exported, but AFAIK there's still a way to get one direct from a Japanese seller.

Nice! I learned on another forum that Ishibashi will ship Japan-exclusive items overseas, but you need to reach out via email.

As a data point on a Jaguar guitar purchase a few months back, Ishibashi shipping to the US was ~$255 and and ~$100 for import duties (based on another forumite's experience).

Some Fender Japan stuff ends up for sale in the UK via the big retailers. That wee Jazz Bass could be interesting but it is too expensive to be worth a punt and/or bask in the novelty factor.

Still waiting for a MIA Fender Mustang bass reissue.
