Here's the scoop about David Crosby's "solo" album from 1971 that featured lots of his friends helpin' him out:

I really LOVE it all. I've worn out several copies--vinyl, cassette, cd....

My fav cut is Cowboy Movie, with Phil Lesh on bass. Here's the lyrics:

I love everything Phil played on but If I could Only Remember my Name is particularly fun for the bass being nice and high in the mix and sounding great.

After listening on that Myspace link, the bass is much more "there" on the vinyl version of the album.  None of that heavy, heavy bottom on the Myspace cuts so it sounds a lot cleaner and more modern. 

I like the record version more even if I have a rather nasty skip right after "You know I'm crazy but I ain't real dumb."



Speaking of PERRO, I found a torrent with two hours of outtakes from PERRO sessions that's great for getting a look at some early versions of songs and some good jams containing:
