A twosome proud Dean owner myself - where are my assless chaps? - I kinda like it. And Dean is value for money and an image that speaks with you if you are a heavy metal kid. I would have loved that brand as a teenager and died for their creations.

I'll give them credit.....They've taken all the classic elements of what was a beautiful design and modified them just enough to create a really ugly bass - Kudos Dean!  :puke:

Dean Zelinsky hasn't owned Dean Guitars for at least 20 years. He later came back to the company but it was only as some sort of marketing consultant.

I really don't think it wise to turn their backs on us, looks like a invitation to me. To quote my 14 year old daughter. those shorts say "open for business".

I call it marketing. No need to read anything deeper into it.

Whether it's effective beyond grabbing your attention is hard to tell. At least it shows that they're concerned with the, errm, bottom line.

That's a rash way of putting it.

A hand in the bush is worth more than two free birds.

So I was at my local GC today and saw one in person, as they say "Beauty is only skin deepbut ugly goes down to the bone".

Aesthetics matter - I'm just that shallow  ;)

Thank you, Ray Dietrich for Thunderbirds.

That's not shallow at all. If it doesn't look right to you, you can't enjoy it even if it sounds good.
