Hatchet throwing and beer: A can’t-miss venture

(video autoplays)

Good clean fun, and what could possibly go wrong?

I can see leagues forming, leading to national playoffs and a championship game with the winner receiving the Ed Ames/Mingo trophy.

An absolute classic...I love how Carson grabs Ames' arm and pulls him back center stage and does a little business with the hatchets while the audience erupts.

He calmly waits for the laughter to die down, then delivers the (presumably) improvised punch line.

That clip never gets old.
They're running Carson shows on one of the retro cable stations every night. The guys that do late night shows now are rank amateurs compared to him.

This reminds me of the number of drunken Horseshoe throwing injuries that will occur at my local watering hole every weekend this summer.  I've seen some bloody one around 2AM.  At least with the hatchets you aren't throwing in the same direction of a human  :o
