Title: Soviet basses
Post by: ilan on September 28, 2009, 11:47:52 PM
Someone in the Ukraine is selling 9 (at the moment) cheap 70's Russian and Czech basses. No affiliation. If you're into these things...

Those are pretty cool for the "kitsch" value...........

Gotta love that bridge, a block of wood with a nail across the top  ;)

From what I've read about most Soviet guitars, especially on the Cheesy Guitars (http://www.meatexz.com/cheesyguitars/) site, the prices seem way high if you're expecting a playable bass or guitar. OTOH the value as oddball collectibles might be about right to someone.

I like the Roden #2. Looks like a Guild B-302 that's been Chernobyl-ized.
