If it is, then it sounds harmonically a lot more elegant!!! TLS used some intricate harmonic combinations, way ahead of what other bands were doing  in their time.

Yep that's a John Birch pickup.

Correct! It's a John Birch Superflux - the same kind that's also in the neck position on that Telecaster in the video.
They had nine pole-pieces to create a blade effect so there was no drop off when string-bending. Of course that also meant that they could be used on guitar or bass = a market for guitarists & bassists without John Birch having to do more work.

Someone on here was so sad as to re-create that Telecaster!!

There are quite a few time-warp bloopers out there. I remember seeing one from the Daniel Boone TV series where right after a short fight scene, the camera pans and you can see a car parked on a road -- in late-1700s Kentucky. I haven't found that one on YT yet, but I did find this one where a plane's vapor trail is visible as the character played by Jimmy Dean walks away.

Jimmy was using 4 x Accoustic 361s(??)  by 1973 and handed his very obscure SNS tranny amps & cabs to be split between Nod & Dave; which meant they were using about 500w each.
Dave on that EB3 for the first one; Jimmy on the second song.
