The German supermarket chain Aldi sells big and cheap 0,5 liter cans of Schultenbrau beer. It's drunk on parties of teenagers and so. The nice thing about this beer is that it's luke warm as disgusting as it is cold, so you can drink it luke warm without ptoblems;)

The Greek equivalent is Amstel beer, not the imported of course.

I went to Greece a couple of years ago and to my surprise there where three kinds of beer: A German one (can't remember which) and two Dutch ones (Amstel and Heineken) but locally brewed. I thought they were allright... But if you don't like Amstel and Heineken in the first place...

I'm from the north-western part of Holland and we only drink Heineken and Amstel here. Where Rob lives it's Grolsch country.

Yeah, but of the regular pilsners I prefer Dommelsch.

Sort of. They call it Meibok (May Bock)

Nop, I'm not an Amstel/Heineken type. My favourite beer is Augustiner Helle, but they sell it only on Munich. Damn.

a common Greek (Athens?) brew when I spent a lot of time there in the early 80's, post aviation life, was "Fix", a good "Carlsberg like" drink...

There was an english speaking crew that used to meet up at this junction of 5 roads for a nights entertainment, it would start with securing tables for the empties, which we would not allow to be collected until a table was filled, attempting to fill a glass with as much froth as possible without spilling anything (loser paid) and "hoser-head" practice usually meant I won and had a cheap evening) and then the floor-show...

The Greeks are a trifle unpatient as drivers and the lights went straight from green to red, resulting in lots of horn blowing and irate road rage drivers - at least once every 15 minutes there would be an accident of some sort, almost always minor, but some spectacular collisions would occur from time-to-time...

Yea, but that was at the 80ssss, now we have calm (a bit). Fix is nice beer, its kinda hard to find thru.
The best beer widely available here is Kaiser pilsner, I think. But that's a matter of taste ofcourse.

I won't link it to this site but I once made a comic in which the lead character wanted to loose her virginity in a unique way and so she hooked up with a transsexual. All this talk about Mark being a lady reminded me of that.
