I need a white Vox, or similar, white plastic pup for my hollow body project.  A Japanese pup would be fine.

You might check with Phantom Guitarworks.  They offer Vox-style bass pickups under "Parts and Accessories".  Never heard 'em, or heard anything about them, though.

Ronn (leftybass) has a couple of Phantoms in his menagerie, so you can ask him about the company. I have no idea if their pickups would fit.

Great idea, I never thought of looking there.  I see they do offer pups and rings, so I'll see about placing an order today.  Duh!

Hey, that looks nice too.  I'll check it out if I come up dry with Phantom today.  I've had Curtis work on some of my vintage pups and he does nice work.

I had a nice long chat with the Phantom Guitars owner (he was telling me about his collection of over 100 vintage Vox guitars/basses) and I ordered the pickup, ring and two knobs for my project.  Great guy out there in Oregon.   :)
