I signed up for this forum months ago and enjoyed reading various (mostly Gibson-related) threads but never took time to post anything myself. Now, that I'm in the position where I'll be looking for advice - as well as for an item or two - I figured that it would be appropriate that I stop by and introduce myself. Started playing bass in '79, on an Italian Gherson Jazz Bass copy with a warped neck and an H/H combo. Went through a gazillion basses, amps and so forth over the course of the next two decades, then quit cold turkey.
One of my twin sons decided to start playing bass - after several years of playing trombone - and pretty much dragged me into playing again. Before one could say "Free", the stuff started piling up...basses, guitars, keyboard, portastudio...
I've fallen in love with a severely molested '69 EB-0 and she is my # 1 to the point where I'm serious when I say that she's getting buried with me. Other family members include a '70 EB-0L and a '13 EB fiver. A couple of imports of somewhat lesser importance are hanging out here as well.
