Thank you ! Somehow , after a couple of tries I managed to get back in . I've been reading through some pages and getting a sense of things here again . I initially joined after the old Pit folded but spent most of my time then with Jack's Bovinehost crew .
I'm really an old Pbass guy , that loved Rics and somehow got hooked up with a Dano Longhorn for years . I'm ok with that .
It looks like that DC Jr is replacing the Longhorn .
Slightly retired , I still play regularly in the local bars . I was a commercial photographer back in the days of film and mostly used large format . I used to constantly shoot grocery flyers . I still have dreams of assembly line shooting . Still have most of my old cameras .
Things have opened up here in Nova Scotia . Our covid situation is pretty good here , we've managed to clear it , but we keep finding new cases that involve foreign travel (mostly from the US despite the border being closed) We now have travel between the Atlantic provinces , but travel outside requires quarantine . This may change , we'll have to see .
I bought Paul Boyer's revised Rickenbacker book last year , and about two weeks after the reading a gorgeous burgandyglo 4000 came my way . The seller also had an Epi Flying V . I played it for a minute and then thought about it throughout the following weeks . It wound up here too . Some may find the thought of an old geezer in sneakers and jeans playing a V kinda pathetic . I'm ok with that too .
And I'm a little nervous about finding some old Gibson I can't live without once your book arrives ...
