Fender TV 10 amp

OK, I've always been a sucker for the 50's look in anything bass.  So, after a couple years of thinking about it, I bought a TV 10 bass amp for practicing at home.  What a great little amp, at least for the first 2 days!  It has 150 watts of mellow tubey pre-amp warmth and a damn strong 10" speaker.  For kicking around at home, this is a lot of fun!  I got lucky and bought the amp at cost because it sat around the shop for over a year.  The volume is surprising, the tone is excellent and vintage, and the speaker is a little brute.  It's just a lot of fun!

 Very coo little amp! What did you do stop by the HOG on the way home from RGH ? Saturday is Gibson day at the HOG, wanna go beat up the Gibson rep then grab lunch ?

I was actually on my way to my doctor's checkup!  I always swing by the HOG when I'm doing doctor stuff at RGH.  I'd love to come by Saturday, but it's Winter COmmencement at the college so I'll be tied up all morning through 1 PM and then Barb has a long list of last minute shopping that didn't get done while I was sick.  I think lunch one day in January is a definitely a good idea.  Got all of the family coming in from Dec. 23 through January 1st.  So, it'll be crazy during the holiday.

I'm so looking forward to seeing everyone!

I'm looking for a small practice amp that will look cool in the corner of the lounge room, and double as a usable small rehearsal or 'acoustic' gig amp.  They do look the business.

I like mine.  The 150 w could easily handle an acoustic gig in a smaller venue.  Plenty of volume and a nice tube tone.  They are pricey, but I got a deal on one that sat around the shop for over a year.  I have to admit I love the tweed look too.

MF just had a deal on them for $450.  I almost got one but the lack of gain control like on it's bigger brothers worried me.  I like to dial in some grit without needing to crank the volume.  I'm hoping MF will do a deal on the 15's.

Gee $450.00 sounds great.  I wonder if the voltage is switchable.  Must do some googling.  (I'm in Australia).

That is worth every penny IMHO if you want a great practice or small venue amp.  I love mine.

No outs on it.  Don't think it's loud enough to compete with drums.
