Title: Lots of Gibsons in British G&B mag
Post by: Chris P. on February 24, 2015, 03:13:08 AM
This weekend I bought the March edition of British Guitar and Bass Magazine. It has '25 Ways To Upgrade Your Les Paul' on the cover.

It not only features a five page special of Suzi Quatro's Les Paul Bass, but the 'Collection'-special has bass collector Paul Dunbar in it. Among lots of Höfners, Fenders, Burns, Voxes and Danelectros, Gibson seems to be his focus. The special is about:

'65 reverse Thunderbird
'64 non rev
Epi Embassy
'59 EB-0 double cut
'69 EB-3 x2
Two Rivoli's and an EB-2
Les Paul Signature
Epi Newport
Victory Standard
Victory Custom
Q80
Ripper
Grabber
G3
Les Paul Triumph
IV Bass
RD Artist
'53 EB-0 violin
V Bass
Explorer with stripes
And even a 20/20

24 Gibson is not quite Uwe, but still very nice to see.

That's impressive. Too bad that's the one that's not available over here without an annual subscription.

I truly wish they still sold British bass magazines at the local bookstore here.  Sometimes I'd buy as many as three different bass magazines a month, including American and British.  Those were the days.  Now all that's available is "Bass Player" (which I very rarely buy.)

I just make my ow magazine, so I can put in what I want;)

My issue is on it's way to Basvarken. Maybe he's willing to share some content here. IDK.
