NBD 1963 Gibson EB0
« on: January 19, 2020, 10:46:48 AM »
Just got this and am pretty stoked! My phone was not cooperating, this is like take ten, I was pretty done at that point. I'm very happy overall with this bass. More mudbucker mania coming!

Great bass and it really can level a building.

Congrats!

Those Gibsons are just sweethearts. Nice, light, well balanced, nice slender neck, a pleasure to play.

Kind of the simple approach to bass. I like it.

Your mud cup runneth over. How do you like it compared to the 67 from the last vid?
Contrary to what James Bond says, a good Gibson should be stirred, not shaken.

Through the years, I've never found anything on the Internet better than the Fly Guitars description of the EB-0

The EB-0 section is definitely a labor of love for Jules. I'll even forgive him for calling the tuneomatic 2-point bridge "infamous."  ;)

Jules has done a great job describing all of the Gibson basses he has featured. I just took another look at his description of the Hobbit & the 20/20 after re-reading the EB-0 link.

It can be glossed over, for instance, in favor of the EB-3--which is understandable.  But Jules certainly does make the analysis of the EB-0 interesting.
