A guy at the Swedish bass forum had some fun with Photoshop using the new pics off the Gibson website. Mostly bass versions of guitars but some of them are really nice I think. Don't know about those SG RI tuners though.

Yeah I saw those too a few days ago.
Wonder if he realised some of those basses have actually been built by Gibson?
-
He's pretty updated on the Gibson bass history. Some of those models are just variations, like the Epi Rivoli model. He named it Casino bass. BTW, he owns an EB-0F.
-
Whoa!
Love the Explorer.................Think you could get him to forward the pix to Gibson?
Please ;D

There are even people who claim him for Gibson President (or at least Chief Designer).
-
Immaculate taste, all models have the glorious 3 point!!!
-
3 points. What is German for puke?
-
Kotzen. Just like that guitarist's (and former Poison member) name.
"Die Drei-Punkt-Brücke ist zum kotzen." Repeat after me "Dee Dry Poonkt Brew-kay eezt tzoom co-tzen."
-
Some very interesting concepts there.

Oh Gawd... I am feeling a terrible attraction to that Explorer - oh no, I'll be changing my avatar again at this rate...
-
the single pickup lp's look nice
-
Nah Ken, ya gotta have the slipper headstock on an Explorer. Otherwise its just not an Explorer ;) I like the minibucker idea though. Maybe they could use the modified Firebird pickups that the Allen Woody bass has for that model.
-
Mmmm, I do like this

-
I like all of them, the LP's in particular.
-
Maybe we can make a bunch using our czech luthiers friends.
-
Ohhh no, not again :o
-
I like the Juniors and the mini-humbuckers on the Explorer.
Poor Rob...
-
I would go for that Junior shaped Eb0 in the bottom any time. Such a nice bass!
-
That goldtop Les Paul bass with the mini humbuckers looks fantastic!
-
You are a glutton for punishment, aren't you? Confuse Bach with another model and they are bound to morph the two in one ...

Herr Moderator,
They just need some good old fashioned teutonic disicpline................
Perhaps you could administer such?
-
A couple more. Shortscale T'bird and EB-2D with finish inspired by the Duesenberg Star Bass:

Cool beans 8)
-
hey,Doom. can you do one like the red Eb2 but on a Ripper body (blocks, binding and mud)
thanks
-
I'm surprised non of them features Thunderbird pickups.
Or G3 pickups...
And not so surprised none of them features Lo-Z pickups ;)
-
I like them all tooo. Faves are LP single w/ Mud, DBL cut away w/ Mud, Epi w/ 2 p90ish & the Dbl w/p90ish .
-
Gold top w/ minis is cool but the thought of a tbird with a short scale...................I smell another project. I got some black tbird pups anxious for a home ...... I have an S! w G3 pups in the works & a moderne short scale .

Sorry, it's not me making these pics and he's using the current pics off the Gibson site at the moment so I guess we'll have to wait for some TB chrome. Here's a few more:

You mean that explains it? Those concentric circles could go well with a little puff ...
I never inhale, like all current and former lawyers.

Wow. Just wow.
-
All these basses are so possible for them to do.
-
I woke up early today because I was supposed to take my girlfriend to a doctor's appointment at 9:30am. I was ready to leave when she called me and told that it was push further to 1:00pm. Unable to go back to sleep, I decided to find something somewhat usefull to do. This is what I came up with:
All proportions are correct, meaning the body size is in proportion with the 34 inch scale neck. So this is really what a Epiphone Prophecy Futura Bass would looks like if they just put all the parts together.
-
mmmm... if I could get that V bass, in faded white, I might make a mess of myself.
-
That does look cool - and again black hardware! I like the way you think, Daniel.
