Looks great, congrats! Did they originally come with white chicken head knobs?

They did not.  I never had the original knobs.  When I first got it, it had a nice black pickguard and gold knobs.  I just like the chicken knobs for some reason.

It looks great in white/parchment but I think it looked meaner with the black guard. The thickness of the black guard also made a nice thumb rest. Does it still have the homemade straplock?

I'd agree with looking meaner.  Who knows, maybe someday I'll do a black one again.  Yes, it still has the Petersson Special straplock system!  One perfectly oversized fender washer.  Amazing how a dime investment can work so well.
